Sugar mummy UK: can you find one on SugarDaddyMeet?

Yes. SugarDaddyMeet lets a woman be the one who pays, and its own How to Get a Sugar Mommy page tells men to sign up for one. What it doesn't do is label her or let you filter for her. Inside the account there's no provider or receiver role, only Man or Woman and who you want to meet, so nobody can count the sugar mummies, us included. The platform calls itself a sugar daddy site, and its sign-up copy addresses men as gentlemen and women as ladies looking for a mentor. Expect a far smaller pool than the sugar daddy one.

What is a sugar mummy?

A sugar mummy is an older, wealthier woman who supports a younger partner with money or gifts, in return for his company and a relationship on terms they agree. She's the sugar daddy role with the genders reversed, and the man she supports is sometimes called a cub or a male sugar baby.

Sugar mummy is the British spelling; Americans write sugar momma or sugar mommy, and SugarDaddyMeet uses the American one on its own pages. The platform publishes no count of them, in Britain or anywhere else, and we found none we'd trust.

Does SugarDaddyMeet support sugar mummies?

SugarDaddyMeet supports sugar mummies without once using the word inside the account. Its public How to Get a Sugar Mommy page is written for men and ends by asking them to sign up and meet its "verified, successful women". A second public page, Find a Sugar Mommy in London, England, ranked on Google for sugar mummy uk when we checked on 16 September 2026.

Inside a member account the profile form, read on 15 September 2026, has two genders, Man and Woman, and the Preferences for My Matches screen, read on 16 September 2026, has Men, Women or both. Nothing asks who pays, so on the settings alone a sugar mummy and a sugar baby look identical: Woman, preference Men. What separates her is her profile text. The FAQ, updated 13 March 2026, defines a sugar daddy as a successful man and a sugar baby as an attractive woman and doesn't mention the reverse; the community guidelines don't ban it.

How does a man set up a profile a sugar mummy will find?

A man gets found by a sugar mummy on SugarDaddyMeet through the six steps below, one of them a line of text, because the form has no box for "I'm the one hoping to be supported".

  1. Gender Man, preference Women. Set on the profile form and the Preferences for My Matches screen. That is the only role setting there is.
  2. Say it in your first line. A woman who filters the Gallery to Men sees you in a list of sugar daddies, and your card shows little beyond that line. If it doesn't say you hope to be supported, she'll assume you pay. The profile guide covers the headline and About Me.
  3. Fill in occupation and education. She reads them the way a sugar baby reads a man's job title.
  4. Set Willing To Meet In Person Next 7 Days to Yes. It shows on your profile and separates you from the men who only want to text, whom the community guidelines ban anyway.
  5. Verify your photo. A selfie video of 3 to 8 seconds, decided within 24 hours, free for now in the platform's words. Photo Verified is a Premium filter, so a woman who pays can narrow the list to verified men.
  6. Decide who opens the chat. Under the FAQ entry updated 13 July 2026, only a Premium member can start a conversation and one side must hold Premium for it to stay open. Without it you wink, 20 a day for three days and 40 after that, and wait. The how it works guide shows where winks land.

That last step is the downside: the chat rule is the same for both genders, and most of the women in our sample were not showing Premium. 30 of the 1,003 UK women's cards we counted on 3 October 2026 carried the badge, about 3 in 100. A Premium badge is not proof of payment. A man who wants to be supported either buys Premium himself or winks and waits for a woman who has.

How does a woman register as the supporting side?

The settings for a woman on the supporting side are Woman on the profile form and Men under Preferences for My Matches, and that is all the form records; the rest of the work is what she writes.

  • Ways I Like To Treat My PartnerThe one free-text field on the form written for the supporting side; the platform's own examples are life mentorship, career coaching, gifts and travel. Fill it in plain words, with no figure.
  • About My MatchSay what you offer and what you want back, regular time together for monthly support, for instance, and leave the figure out: the guidelines ban any mention of pay-per-meet, and the number gets agreed after a meeting anyway.
  • Photo verificationFree, and it proves you match your photos and nothing more: the FAQ (28 July 2026) says it doesn't confirm income, occupation or intentions, so your offer of support rests on your word. ID verification through Yoti is the other free check, and neither is a background check.
  • PremiumA free member can only reply, so a woman who wants to open the conversations herself buys Premium. An older public list from 2026-09 still shows $50 a month, and other sites still quote it. A member account on 3 October 2026 showed $300 a month. Trust the figure on your own payment page.

Men filtering the Gallery to Women will find your card among the sugar babies, and some will message you as if you were one. The first line is the only place on the card to head that off, and it only cuts the number down. The free versus Premium guide lists what Premium unlocks and the cost page explains the price gap.

What does a sugar mummy pay in the UK?

No UK sugar mummy allowance figure exists that we would put our name to, so this page prints none. The allowance guide's bands, £500 to £1,000 a month for a modest allowance and £1,000 to £2,500 once established, are editorial estimates for men supporting women, and nothing we found runs the other way.

The timing carries over from the sugar daddy side: support is monthly and agreed after a first meeting, never per meet, because the community guidelines ban pay-per-meet outright. A genuine gift isn't income for the person who receives it; the tax guide explains why.

Which scams target men looking for a sugar mummy?

The scams aimed at men looking for a sugar mummy are the sugar daddy scams run in reverse. In the salt daddy guide a "daddy" has sent the first allowance but the bank needs a clearance fee; here the "mummy" has sent your first month and the transfer is stuck until you pay a fee or buy two gift cards.

SugarDaddyMeet's own "Sugar Daddy Text Only" page explains the send-money-without-meeting idea and then warns readers off it, under a banner saying profiles looking for online-only relationships will be banned. On Reddit, a May 2023 thread asked what had happened to a subreddit named after the platform, where every post had been deleted. One reply: it had been taken down for being unmoderated and full of scammers, and the scammers were there because no real sugar daddy wants an online-only set-up.

Keep money out of it until you have met, whichever way it would flow, and keep the conversation on the platform until then: the three dots on a profile are the report button, and a move to WhatsApp in the first exchange takes it away.

Check who runs a sugar mummy site before you pay it

Most of the sites on page one of Google for sugar mummy uk and sugar mom uk, when we searched on 16 September 2026, were .co.uk sites built around the phrase, dating sites and a couple that rank them. Know who runs one before you upload ID or a card number. We're not naming them; the test is the same for all: a company name and postal address in the footer, a service agreement and privacy policy you can open, a year the site started, and who takes the card payment.

SugarDaddyMeet's footer names SuccessfulMatch.com, Inc., dates the site to 2007 and says it does not run background checks on members. No background checks is a downside the footer admits to. Behind the word "verified" this site has a selfie-video check; ask what any other site has behind it. The privacy guide covers what the platform does with the ID and video you hand it.

Where in the UK are sugar mummies?

There's no count of where the UK's sugar mummies are, so the answer is where the rest of UK sugar dating is: London first. Our 1,003-card sample of UK women's profiles on 3 October 2026 put 320 in London, against 46 in Manchester and 25 in Birmingham. That is a count of women, and no card says which side she is on. One reply in a January 2025 thread, started by a Glasgow woman who couldn't find anyone locally, put it as "London and then not-London".

Outside London, widen Near My Location, a Premium filter that starts at 50 miles, until it takes in the next city, and read the travel tag, which 613 of our 1,003 UK cards carried. The UK cities guide compares the seven we cover, starting with London, and the UK members snapshot has the count by region and age.

Sugar mummy questions

Does SugarDaddyMeet have sugar mummies?
Yes, without a label. The profile form has two genders, Man and Woman, and a match preference of Men, Women or both; nothing records who pays, so a sugar mummy is a woman whose preference is set to Men and whose profile says she's the one offering support. The platform's own How to Get a Sugar Mommy page asks men to sign up for exactly that. It doesn't count or filter them. The settings alone can't tell her from a sugar baby, and our 1,003-card sample of UK women's profiles on 3 October 2026 couldn't either, because cards show no income or role. Expect a much smaller pool than the sugar daddy one: the platform calls itself the No.1 sugar daddy dating site, and neither it nor we can count the women on the other side.
How can I find a sugar momma in the UK?
On SugarDaddyMeet, through the six profile steps on this page, which come down to a first line that says you hope to be supported and a decision on who pays for Premium, because a free member can't open a chat. London is the largest UK pool, so outside it widen Near My Location, a Premium filter, until it takes in the next city.
Sugar mummy, sugar momma or sugar mom: is there a difference?
Spelling only. All three mean an older, wealthier woman who supports a younger partner in return for his company and a relationship on agreed terms. Mummy is the British spelling, momma, mommy and mom are American, and SugarDaddyMeet uses the American one on its own pages. From a UK address the searches land on much the same sites.
How much does a sugar mummy pay?
We have no UK figure we would print. The platform publishes none and its cards show no income, and the UK threads we read on Reddit only ever discussed men paying women. The allowance guide's bands, £500 to £1,000 a month for a modest allowance and £1,000 to £2,500 once established, are editorial estimates for men supporting women. The timing is the same on either side: monthly support agreed after a meeting, never per meet, because the platform bans pay-per-meet.
Is it legal to have a sugar mummy in the UK?
Yes. A sugar relationship between consenting adults is legal in the UK whichever side pays, and the platform's FAQ (13 March 2026) calls itself a dating site for consenting adults. Escorting is banned outright. Pay-per-meet, online-only, casual and short-term set-ups are not permitted on SugarDaddyMeet. The minimum age is 20. This is general information, not legal advice.
Can a woman join SugarDaddyMeet as the one who pays?
Yes. She picks Woman on the profile form and Men under Preferences for My Matches, and nothing else on the form changes. Because no field records which side she is on, men filtering the Gallery to Women will see her among the sugar babies, so her first line has to say she is offering support. Photo verification is free; starting a conversation needs Premium under the chat rule of 13 July 2026, and the free versus Premium guide has the rest.
How do I avoid sugar mummy scams?
No money moves before you have met, in either direction. A woman who offers to pay you before a meeting and then asks for a fee or a gift card is running the same script as the fake daddy in the salt daddy guide. Stay in the platform's chat until you have met, and report the profile from the three dots on it. If money has gone, call your bank on the number on your card and then Report Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
